Main Function :

(1) Nutritional supplement (iron fortifier). Used in dairy products, wheat flour for bread, and added to biscuits, milk powder,etc., not suitable for foods that are not suitable for coloring. Ferric ammonium citrate as a food iron fortifier has better absorption effect than inorganic iron. According to China's regulations, it can be used for table salt and sugar filling, the dosage is 4000~8000mg/kg; it is 1200~1350mg/kg in high-iron grains and its products (limit 50g of such foods per day); in dairy products and infant food 400~800mg/kg; 160~330mg/kg in cereals and its products; 70~140mg/kg in beverages.

(2) The brown product is used as a blood-enriching drug to treat iron-deficiency anemia; it can be used as a food additive, and the iron content is 16.5%-21.2% according to the "Food Additives Official Document" of Japan.

(3) Used in photographic industry and pharmaceutical industry, and also used as anti-caking agent.

(4) For microbial culture, such as the JFM medium commonly used in the laboratory culture of ferromanganese bacteria, to which ferric ammonium citrate is added, and a similar medium is also added to the product.
