Introduction:

Cetylpyridinium chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound and is the active chemical in some human mouthwashes on the market. It has antiseptic properties and is used in solutions or lozenges for the treatment of minor infections of the mouth and throat. The antimicrobial activity is due to an interaction of basic cetylpyridinium ions with acidic molecules on bacteria, which subsequently inhibits bacterial metabolism by forming weak ionic compounds that interfere with bacterial respiration.

Cetylpyridinium chloride is a nitrogen-containing cationic surfactant, mainly used as a sterilization and disinfectant. Under the same conditions of use, the killing rate of this product to heterotrophic bacteria, iron bacteria and sulfate reducing bacteria is better than dodecyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride, dodecyldimethylbenzyl chloride Ammonium bromide and other commonly used quaternary ammonium fungicides, for example, at a dosage of 10mg/L, the killing rates of this product on heterotrophic bacteria, iron bacteria and sulfate reducing bacteria are 99.9%, 99.9%% and 99.99%. This product can be used for sterilization and algae
elimination, slime stripping and system cleaning of industrial water treatment systems. In the process of use, this product has the same precautions as other quaternary ammonium salt fungicides such as Jieermei, such as foaming, association and sedimentation with other anionic substances. When using, impact feeding can be used, and the general concentration is 20-80mg/L.
