What is Oxolinic Acid Sodium?

Oxolinic Acid is a kind of quinoline ketone fungicide , used in rice seed treatment, is the first fungicide with outstanding effect on rice bacterial disease. The occurrence of bacterial bacterial disease can be prevented by chemical treatment before sowing.

The mechanism of action is that it has a wide range of antibacterial activity against gram negative bacteria, but has a weak activity against gram positive bacteria and no activity against fungi. By inhibiting the synthesis of DNA, it prevents bacteria from dividing and multiplying.

In the bacterial body, the reverse hypercrimp enzyme is introduced into the hypercrimp structure of DNA. This agent can bind to the subgroup A of this enzyme, thereby inhibiting its function and making DNA unable to
replicate, which will soon cause death. The seeds were immersed in 1000g/mL for 24h.
